The Spanish & Latin American Studies Library build-up Program

Participate and help bring priceless books back into print .

Our Goal:

To bring back into print those books that the Spanish & Latin American Studies Teaching Community considers necessary for an in depth understanding of the Spanish & Latin American societies and their culture, with special emphasis in their literature, history, economy and politics.

Mechanics

  • In order to assign priorities we have set a ranking, based on the number of nominations received by each title listed in our databases
  • As a Registered User you may nominate as many titles as you like
  • Nominating a title does not bind you in any way, but we assume that you cast your vote honestly, and that if the particular title were available you would either buy one copy or suggest its acquisition and reading to others.
  • A particular title can also be brought back into print as a Critical Edition, with the addition of critical studies by Spanish & Latin American Studies scholars.
    • The publishing of a special critical edition book grants the scholar either a 5% or a 10% author’s fee on the publication-selling price, depending on whether there are copyrights involved or it is a Public Domain text. (see Publishing through Stockcero).
