I love Stockcero's edition of Doña Perfecta up to the top of page 169 (out of 171). The ending Galdós wrote for his serial audience is greatly inferior, in my opinion, to the traditional ending for the novel. I use it as a teaching point, but would greatly prefer an edition with the traditional ending.
